PIONITE LAMINATE SURFACES (over 238 colors to choose from)
Three standard grades of Pionite laminate are suitable for most applications.

GENERAL PURPOSE
TYPE/THICKNESS: G48 (.048)
Most often used in horizontal applications where high impact resistance and a durable, decorative surface is required.

POSTFORMING
TYPE/THICKNESS: F39 (.039)
Designed for manufacturing countertops and other horizontal surfaces where the laminate may be heated and rolled over the substrate edge to eliminate seams.

VERTICAL
TYPE/THICKNESS: F28 (.028)
Designed for applications where impact resistance is less critical. Vertical grade can also be postformed.

PIONITE SPECIALTY LAMINATES
MelCor II
TYPE/THICKNESS: M55 / M56 (.050)
   MelCor II laminate may be used in any application where a solid color edge is desired. MelCor II is intended for use in applications where the edge of the laminate contributes to the aesthetics of the final product. Pionite’s patented manufacturing process provides a second generation color-through laminate that is more flexible and much less likely to chip than other color-through laminates.
   Multi-toned edges or sandwich colors provide interesting design options. Grooves, bands, patterns, or lettering may be fashioned with the use of routers, engravers, or sandblasting equipment. Solid color MelCor II is also ideal for high-wear applications since gouges and cuts will not readily show.

PEARLESCENT COLLECTION (gloss w/ peelcoat)
TYPE/THICKNESS: G27 / F26 (.028)
   Pionite Pearlescent laminate showcases a dazzling array of patterns printed with metallic and pearlescent inks. Type G27 is a vertical grade laminate intended for non-postforming, low abrasion applications. Type F26 is a postformable, vertical grade laminate intended for low abrasion applications. Pearlescent laminate should not be used in horizontal applications.

ChemGuard (available w/ brown or black core)
TYPE/THICKNESS: H48 (.048) / HD3 (.14) / HD5 (.50) / HD8 (.75) / HDI (1.00)
   Pionite ChemGuard incorporates the decorative features of high pressure laminate into a durable chemical resistant surfacing material. ChemGuard is available in any Pionite solid color, and can be made in thicknesses between 0.048 inch (1.2mm) and 1 inch (25mm). The thicker grades of ChemGuard can be used as self supporting worktops.
   The unique manufacturing process of Pionite ChemGuard results in a product with chemical resistant properties throughout its thickness. This feature ensures that the ChemGuard surface is more durable and chemical resistant than competitive laminates, even after the surface has been scratched. Pionite ChemGuard’s superior chemical resistant surface cannot be softened with heat for postforming.
